Digital Reporters: Three “bibs” to win for the 2017 Tour

news25.04.2017Pre-race

A social network expert, adept with digital tools and most of all open to adventure and looking forward to discovering the Tour. This is the identikit of the three “Digital Reporters” who will be invited to take part in the Tour de France and whose mission will be to animate a portion of the race's official accounts. This international and mixed team will have carte blanche to bring their fans and other followers behind the scenes of the Grande Boucle, with only one stipulation: to make sure your imagination has no limits. “We welcome the Digital Reporters so that they bring a different perspective of the Tour and an approach adapted to the means of communication used by all the young people of the same age, explains Christian Prudhomme. Just as the peloton is represented by more than 50 nationalities, we want to have candidates from all walks of life, whether they come from Belgium, Spain, Colombia, Germany, Morocco or even Thailand! Rediscovering the Tour through their eyes, their cameras and their smartphones will be a rich experience for us and for everyone who will follow them."

Beginning today, students between the ages of 18 to 25 from around the world are eligible to win a place in the Digital Reporters' car. Candidate applications, including a short article and video, will be accepted through May 9. Procedure details are posted on line on the letour.fr
