August Jensen: "Second overall is big for me"

“I was thrilled by my victory yesterday. To keep the second place on GC as well is big for me. It's always fun to race up north because the spectators make the atmosphere great. We've been lucky with the weather this year but the people were still out there cheering even when it was cold or rainy. I was hoping to win the overall but in the last hill when Dylan Teuns attacked, he was simply just stronger. If I had any chance to follow him, I would have done it like glue to his wheel. But I'm happy with being the second best rider of the peloton of the Arctic Race of Norway over the four days of racing. It's the highlight of my career so far. Being on a continental team, it can't be any bigger. My future looks bright. I've had a good season from the start and I've been in contact with a lot of teams at a higher level. I'm prepared to go to a Pro Continental team. It was a hard beat to take when One Pro didn't remain at Pro Conti level so I couldn't join them but I've work harder to bounce back from that disappointment.”
