Le Conseil général de la Somme

La Somme is delighted to once again host the Tour de Picardie which is the opportunity for cyclists, organisers, volunteers and all spectators along the route to discover and appreciate the treasures of our department.

This land brims over with riches: environmental, such as the Baie de Somme, which is one of the most beautiful bays in the world; architectural, such as Amiens cathedral; or historical, such as the Circuit du Souvenir (Remembrance Trail).

Thanks to these many tourist assets, La Somme encourages leisure activities and various sports, in particular cycling. Each year, a number of cycling races are organised, along with the numerous, informal excursions with family or friends.

So, take your time and come and appreciate these charms as you ride along one of our many cycle paths, walk along the hiking trails, or ride horseback in the forests or along the beaches.
